Divyangana’s Experience
Divyangana came to us carrying deep body image struggles rooted in past experiences of being overweight and fat shamed. In an attempt to change her body, she followed multiple restrictive diets that led to rapid and extreme weight loss. By the time she joined the program, her body was severely undernourished.
Over time, this restriction took a serious toll on her health. She developed ovarian cysts, menstrual irregularities, gut issues, acne, loss of appetite, dehydration, and emotional distress. Her relationship with food had become driven by fear rather than nourishment.
Over the next six months, the focus was on restoring safety and trust in her body. Through structured, supportive nutrition and gentle lifestyle changes, her body slowly began to stabilise. She gained a healthy amount of weight, her digestion improved, menstrual cycles normalised, and hormonal symptoms reduced. Most importantly, she rebuilt a healthier and more compassionate relationship with food.
Divyangana’s journey shows how deeply restriction and body shaming can impact health. Once we focused on nourishment, consistency, and rebuilding trust with food, her body was finally able to recover and heal.
